Description:
We all know I rarely post any music of mine in here. Mainly cause I don't write a lot of it. But I had this melody in my head for a while and this metaphor about fire and beauty hiding uncomfortable truth has been playing in my head for months. So I sort of pictured this sequence and it came out as a song. I hope what I wrote out of 'poetic licence' still makes sense. I hope you'll like the song, anyway. Let me know, it's something new to me!

Lyrics:
When I was young I got told not to look into the fire cause it burns your eyes
But there it would be shining sparkling and warming my hands while I fight with the tide
And all of those waves brushed the sand in my head and erased everything that I knew
and the last thing that I can remember is leaving my shelter somehow after you

The tide was so quick so I rushed to my feet to be able to follow your prints
but what drove me towards your figure was more than a sparkle when oxygen meet
and I don?t know if it was if your eyes your lips or your hands but I couldn?t walk free
I felt that for the first time it was worth to come out and allow me to feel

It sparked onto our flesh
my chest sunk in itself
and I wonder?. Oh I wonder who I am
and I wonder?. Oh I wonder what was there

It was a mistake I got told not to look into fire as it betrays you eyes
it is so distracting that you cannot notice the flames as they consumes in lies
and I was too busy wrapped up in the warmth to realise I was burning with them
no matter how much I would move and then try to escape I was stuck in their hands

And when all that was, died and turned into ashes that flew away far with the wind
but I am not light enough to follow them I am stuck where our footprints once lied
And when I sit down where it once was so warm it?s now cold skeletons that observe
I wrap my thoughts hard all around my mistakes but the scars are way colder than truth

It sparked onto our flesh
my chest sunk in itself
and I wonder?. Oh I wonder who I am
and I wonder?. Oh I wonder what was there
